Senior Catholic Bishops have raised concerns that the possession of the bible could become a criminal offence in Scotland. Verses of the bible like Leviticus 20:13 which calls for the execution of gay men. This proposed legislation would make it crime carrying 'inflammatory materials'. which carries up to seven years jailed term. This bill has been widely criticised by the Scottish Police Federation and other Senior bishops and the christian community
