Remdesivir - also known as Veklury - is an antiviral therapeutic made by Gilead, and was originally intended to be used as an Ebola treatment.

Remdesivir- was administered to President Donald Trump when he was admitted for Covid 19, World Health Organisation has warn against the use of this drug as "a lack of evidence that remdesivir improved outcomes and no evidence it works' not yet.
