Criminal gang raided wealthy women's bank accounts in £650k 'piggyback'  scam - Leicestershire Live

The gang fraud involved convincing-looking fake ID cards and crooks impersonating victims using 'inside knowledge.'

Three people involved in scam to defraud bank customers out of £650,000 have appeared in court.  They were recruited by a criminal gang that used a "piggyback" scheme to bleed well-off women's bank accounts dry

 19 separate con tricks at banks across the country, which involved the use of inside information about well-heeled females in their mid-40s and the creation of fake driving licences and debit cards.

Leicester DeMontfort University graduate, 25-year-old Zakkaria Sehailia, described as an IT expert, was convicted by a jury of conspiracy to commit fraud, between January and September, 2017.
