NIGERIAN FROM CROYDON FACES LIFE IN PRISON AFTER MURDER HOTEL CONCIERGE TO STEAL £800 DESIGNER GUCCI BAG

A killer who stabbed a man five times before stealing his designer £800 Gucci bag is facing life in prison.

Samuel Odupitan, 23, from Croydon followed 24-year-old Tyler Roye from a tram in the early hours of February 23.

Odupitan spotted Mr Roye carrying the distinctive Bengal Gucci bag and trailed him after he got off a tram near his home.

Odupitan was today found guilty of Mr Roye's murder at Croydon Crown Court. He will return to court on Monday, December 7, where he will be sentenced.

The court heard that Mr Roye, who worked as a hotel concierge in Stratford, east London, was stabbed five times in the back and abdomen - including one six-inch deep wound.
