GENDER EQUALITY

Gender equality, also known as gender equity, is the principle that all individuals regardless of their gender, should have equal rights, opportunities, and treatment in all aspects of life. This includes;

1. Education: Equal access to education and training.

2. Employment: Equal pay, promotion, and job opportunities.

3. Politics: Equal representation and participation in politics.

4. Health: Equal access to healthcare and health services.

5. Economic empowerment: Equal control over resources, property, and financial services.

6. Social and cultural rights: Equal participation in social, cultural and recreational activities.

7. Protection from violence: Equal protection from domestic violence, sexual harassment, and sexual assault.

8. Reproductive rights: Equal access to reproductive health services, including contraception and safe abortion.

9. Legal rights: Equal protection under the law, including equal inheritance and property rights.
